iSocrates is an educational software program I developed in Xojo that allows instructors to quickly and easily create digital evaluation rubrics for virtually any assignment. I developed iSocrates allows educators to generate criteria pull-down menus featuring their most commonly used feedback comments, and to evaluate student performance from both a qualitative and quantitative perspective. iSocrates can also compute a performance score based on instructor-assigned weights and evaluations, and generate printouts of the filled out rubrics to hand back to students.
ISOCRATES EXPLAINED

I wrote iSocrates to allow instructors and trainers to give higher quality feedback in a shorter amount of time by letting users create customized electronic grading rubrics based on the criteria set up for the assignment.

The program allows users to enter specific feedback comments for each evaluation criterion, or use customizable pull-down menus where users can store their most commonly used feedback comments. The program also offers a free-form comment area for feedback that doesn’t fit the pre-designed categories.

When assessment is completed, users can either print out the forms or send them to learners via LMS or email. Instructors can easily see how lerners are doing in each class or across all sections. This gives educators the information they need to target areas where learners may need additional instruction or resources.
